A Family FraternityWelcome to the Home Page of the Illinois Grand Council of the Royal Arcanum! The Royal Arcanum is a family fraternity providing life insurance benefits to its members. Here's a place where you can keep up to date on all the events sponsored by the Royal Arcanum in Illinois. If you haven't heard about the Royal Arcanum, jump over to read all about it! The Royal Arcanum was organized on June 23, 1877, and has been in Illinois since March 17, 1880 -- the fraternal society is over 130 years old, and been in Illinois for more than 128 years! It is a not for profit fraternal benefit society that operates solely for the mutual benefit of its members and their beneficiaries.
Illinois home of the new Supreme Regent!On August 8, 2008, at the 99th Supreme Council Session, William J. Wire was elected the new Supreme Regent! Illinois was hosting the Supreme Council Session for the first time ever, and Brother Wire is the first Supreme Regent from Illinois for over 40 years. Congratulations to Brother Supreme Regent Bill Wire and his wife Sister Flo!

A Call to All Illinois MembersIllinois ranks in the top five jurisdictions of the Royal Arcanum. Illinois is very well represented in the Supreme Council, boasting 3 officers. We are still the only jurisdiction that has its own web site. As you can see, we are an important and active part of the Royal Arcanum as a whole, and are very active in our jurisdiction. Yet less than 5% of our membership falls into the "active members" category. If you are already a member of the Royal Arcanum in Illinois, we are calling out to you! You are already an important part of our society, and you are missing some fulfilling and exciting times that we can share together. Active members share in the many benefits as we come together to enjoy our fellowship and respond to the needs of our members and the community at large. Look around at the upcoming events in Illinois, and at the events taking place in each of our subordinate councils. These are just a beginning of what we can do with you and for you. There is no cost involved. This is not an attempt to sell you more insurance. It is an offer of greater friendship and a challenge to be a part of the difference we are striving to make.
